In celebration of International Women's Day, we are delighted to present the 2024 art exhibition at Lotte Department Store in Seoul, a harmonious blend of creativity and resilience under the overarching theme of "Rejoice." This year's exhibition aims to pay homage to the indomitable spirit of women across generations who have triumphed over adversity, transcending challenges with courage and beauty.

Our three distinguished artists, each representing a different stage of life, have been carefully selected for their unique perspectives on femininity, strength, and the enduring power of art to heal and inspire. Yejin Yoon, in her 30s, Seungeun Seo, in her 40s, and Seonmi Moon, in her 50s, bring their diverse experiences and artistic visions to this collective celebration of women's triumphs.

Yejin Yoon, a talented artist in her 30s, has emerged as a beacon of solace for those grappling with the harsh realities of alienation and bullying. Through her evocative creations, Yoon endeavors to provide comfort to those who have been wounded, navigating the complexities of contemporary society with sensitivity and empathy. Her works, infused with a profound understanding of the struggles faced by many, invite viewers to contemplate the healing power of art.

Moving into the realm of the 40s, we encounter the insightful and resilient Seungeun Seo. This accomplished artist draws inspiration from the strength of succulents, symbolizing the ability to endure and flourish in even the most challenging environments. Seo's creations mirror the tenacity and resilience inherent in the succulent plant, offering a powerful metaphor for the strength that lies within women. Through her art, Seo encourages us to find beauty and strength in adversity, much like the succulents that thrive against all odds.

In the golden decade of her 50s, Seonmi Moon emerges as an artist who challenges conventional notions of beauty. Moon fearlessly reinterprets traditional standards, infusing her paintings with a distinct and personal aesthetic. Her work serves as a testament to the enduring allure of beauty as defined by individuality rather than conforming to societal expectations. Moon's art encourages us to embrace our own definitions of beauty, celebrating the diversity and uniqueness that each woman brings to the world.
